Casale di Valle – a charming Sixteenth-century villa, completely refurbished – quietly guards the beautiful vineyards that dot the hills of Vinci and Cerreto Guidi. Part of a small Medieval village that dates back to 1152, it belonged to the noble Uguccioni family, Priori delle Arti under the Medici family. Since 1988 the Villa belongs to Cantine Leonardo da Vinci, which has been now for many years one of the leaders in Italian and international enology. It’s a place of peace, quiet and great charm, ideal for relaxing stays, business meetings, high-class events and sumptuous weddings.
Soul of the
Renaissance
Casale di Valle has always been considered by the inhabitants of the Village as a “Casa da Signori”, an elegant house suitable to Lords; in fact, it once was a hunting lodge belonging to the Uguccioni family. Today it’s a Luxury Villa which dominates the Tuscan hills of Leonardo da Vinci. The park, the church, the room of weapons, the cellars, the cantina, the suites, and the room with a vaulted ceiling create the ideal location to greet the guests in an timeless atmosphere.
Villa di Casale di Valle is part of a small Medieval village that dates back to 1152. The village also retains the typical case coloniche, or country houses, a big park and a Catholic Chapel where Sacraments are still officiated today. The strategic location of the village, which can be easily reached by car from the A11 and the SGC highway (known as the FI-PI-LI), makes it the ideal choice for the organization of weddings, events, meetings, conferences, concerts, plays, fashion shows and coffee breaks.
Moments
to Remember
In the beautiful park adjoining the Casale there’s the Church dedicated to the Saints Ippolito and Cassiano, intimate and riveting. Its unique atmosphere is enhanced by a painting attributed to Antonio Mini, pupil and assistant of Michelangelo. Inside it’s possible to celebrate religious weddings, valid in Italy as well.
To those who want a non-religious wedding the Casale di Valle gives the opportunity to celebrate a civil marriage, valid for all purposes. It is therefore possible to organize together the ceremony of your dreams, attending to all the necessary arrangements to make it an unforgettable day.
A Journey
through Tradition
Property of Cantine Leonardo da Vinci, the Montalbano Farm is located near the Vinci cooperative and extends over about 100 hectares of land, 75 of which are destined to vineyard cultivation. These vineyards are considered to be the best in terms of exposition, soil type and viticulture care.
The story goes that Leonardo, still a child, loved to draw and write near the vineyard that stood beside his father’s house. The same vineyard has been reproduced with the utmost accuracy and still produces grapes. It can be visited and admired inside the Farm.
A suggestive passage with tunnels and steep staircases leads to the cantinetta of Casale di Valle, where you can admire and taste a great selection of wines. An engaging experience of tastes and suggestions.
